Learn to design digital products for a better world
Interactive media and digital products need to be designed with users in mind. In Sheridan’s Digital Product Design courses, you’ll learn to create products that meet user needs with intuitive and efficient interfaces. You’ll also develop your critical thinking skills as you learn an ethical approach to design that considers societal impact and challenges of modern technology.
Requirements
Postsecondary diploma or degree in design, visual/fine arts, communications, commerce, engineering, health sciences or social sciences
and/or
Related work and/or educational experience.
Ideal applicants are competent in Figma, Adobe XD or equivalent software. Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to have these competencies prior to the start of the first course.
Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of:
Demonstrated competence through related work and/or educational experience
and
A supplemental submission that evaluates disciplinary knowledge, conceptual thinking and ideation, communication skills and visual skills. Once you apply, please review the requirements document in your portal for details and instructions on how to submit these items.
Domestic applicants
Postsecondary transcripts indicating courses completed to date must be submitted to ontariocolleges.ca at the time of application.
Domestic applicants with education outside of Canada must have their transcripts assessed for equivalency through ICAS or WES.
Private career college courses and/or credentials are not accepted as admission requirements for Sheridan programs.
International applicants
Official postsecondary transcripts, indicating courses completed to date, and credential must be submitted at the time of application. In case the transcripts/certificates are not in English, note that these documents must be accompanied by a notarized, official translation into English. Translated copies must also be accompanied by a copy of the original transcript.
