Overview

Our General English courses are offered at the elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and high-intermediate levels. They are designed for students who want to enhance and develop their English language skills for work, study, immigration, or social activity.

The program combines in-person and virtual instruction and addresses a variety of learning styles. Audiovisual and interactive exercises allow you to learn and engage with different resources and achieve your learning goals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students complete an online placement test and a speaking assessment with an instructor so that students start learning English at the appropriate level.

As a student, you will:

  • Learn through a variety of teaching methods from our Certified English Language Instructors
  • Participate and engage while focusing on the four skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing
  • Attend courses that cover grammar, writing skills and pronunciation
  • Enjoy virtual field trips that allow you to improve your language abilities further
  • Work together with fellow students through role-plays, discussions, presentations, assignments, and much more in a fun-filled and group-based class environment.

FROM CLASSROOM TO LIFE

Our instructors use Canadian Language Benchmark [CLB] levels to guide learning and progress for each student and the equivalent Common European Framework of Reference for Languages [CEFR].

Our students attend courses that use real-world examples and Portfolio-Based Language Assessment that build long-term language skills.  Our group projects help to improve teamwork and leadership skills, and our virtual field trips enhance your learning.
