In this course you will learn

MODULE 1 Consultation and manipulation of information contained in data managers

Data models and conceptual view of a database:

Enable students to acquire the professional skills necessary for data models and conceptual view of a database, and to query and extract information from different data storage platforms.

Implementation and use of a DB:

In the field of computing and communications, it is necessary to know the different fields of information management systems, within the professional area of development. Thus, the module aims to provide the necessary knowledge for the implementation and use of a DB (Database).

Database management system tools. Gateways and means of connection:

The aim of this training unit is to teach the student to configure the gateways and means of connection between the client tools and the data management systems, in order to establish communication between the two according to the needs of the organization.

MODULE 2 Creation and management of content repositories

Content repositories:

A content repository must offer the tools that will provide the process of creation, materialization or realization and presentation of the content to the users of the system, and on the other hand it must offer maintenance and updating of the files and/or archives that are in it, as well as their content.

XML language:

The aim of this training unit is to teach how to develop software components with specific languages, in order to exploit the information in repositories according to the needs of the organization.

Development of a CMS:

Enables students to acquire the professional competences necessary to implement and administer information management systems in an organization, according to a specified design, located on heterogeneous computer platforms and supports that guarantee the registration, classification, distribution and traceability, as well as to create and manage content repositories.

MODULE 3 Administration of information management systems

Management and control of information systems:

Enable students to acquire the professional competences necessary to administer the information management system, as well as the control of information systems.

Distribution and publication channels used in information management systems:

Enable students to acquire the professional competences necessary for the distribution and publication channels used in information management systems and the administration of information management systems.

Requirements

Aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old that have completed secondary studies or vocational training in a related field, and want to pursue studies in Spain.

The access requirements are:

  • Having completed studies related to the Computer Sciences sector in their country of origin in a recognized official center (universities or highly qualified institutions).
  • Academic gap that does not exceed 5 years. In certain countries this requirement may not be necessary.
