This course will equip students with the expertise required to pursue a career in print or broadcast media, businesses with their own internal media departments, creative production boutiques and journalism. This course is ideal for students who favour a programme of study that will give a thorough foundation in core business and media related subjects such as, creative writing; marketing communications planning, television studies, news production and public relations.
The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media & Communications from the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC), is so structured, to give successful participants an understanding of media operations; competence in oral and written communication as it relates to media and public relations; analytical and critical thinking skills for matters related to media relations, and an appreciation of new media technologies. The curriculum has been designed to include the most current trends, techniques and practices in contemporary media studies.
