Overview

Working in office/small business administration you can support and contribute within a variety of work environments. Your expertise in technology, business communication, computer skills, sales, accounting and overall understanding of entrepreneurship, will have a direct and significant impact on the organizations you work within or oversee. You may choose to concentrate your knowledge and skills on business management or office management; you may become an office supervisor or office assistant, or you may decide to focus your efforts and talents on becoming a small business owner.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This program is 36 weeks. Upon graduating from our Office/Small Business Administration Diploma program you will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and training to support the strategic goals of an organization or take your talents to market and start your own venture and small business.

Some of the areas you will explore in the curriculum are: bookkeeping, accounting, business law including torts and contracts and the Canadian legal system, sales and negotiation, small business management/entrepreneurship, business communications, documentation, spreadsheets and computer Access database, business mathematics and taxation fundamentals.
