Ongoing global social and economic upheaval highlights the speed of change occurring in the workplace. Transferable skills, often referred to as ‘Power Skills’, equip you with the skills and ability to navigate complex and interrelated problems that exist in the workplace today. In addition to job-specific capabilities, organisations need a range of transferable competencies and skills to position their business to meet emerging challenges. This NFQ Level 9 Transferable Skills  Professional Diploma has been designed to respond to skill needs identified by the World Economic Forum.

Not quite ready to commit to a full professional diploma? Consider trying a microcredential. You can stack your microcred credits towards a professional diploma at a later date. Modules listed within the Programme Content with an (M) beside them are MicroCreds and can be taken independently.

LANGUAGE CERT ESOL B2 Communicator High Pass with no less than 33 in each skill.
DUOLINGO DET score of 120 with no less than 110 in any component. An interview may be required for certain programmes.
MATRICULATION EXAMINATIONS From European countries where English is presented as a subject and an acceptable level is achieved.
IRISH LEAVING CERTIFICATE ENGLISH Ordinary Level Grade D or above.
TOEFL 580 (paper based) or 90 (internet based).
IELTS Minimum score of 6.5* with no less than 6.0 in any component. *Some programmes have a higher requirement.
ETAPP (ENGLISH TEST FOR ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES) Grade C1
GCE ‘O’ LEVEL ENGLISH LANGUAGE/ GCSE ENGLISH LANGUAGE Grade C or above.
UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE ESOL Certificate of Proficiency in English – Grade C / Certificate in Advanced English – Grade C
GCE EXAMINATION BOARDS Oxford Delegacy of Local Examinations – Grade C / Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate – School Certificate Pass 1-6 / University of London Entrance and School Examinations Council – School Certificate Pass 1-6
PEARSON TEST OF ENGLISH (ACADEMIC) – PTE ACADEMIC Minimum score of 61 (with no section score below 59).
